Cheshire - Vinyl Design
In this graphic design project, the focus was on experimental design. The task was to create a record cover, and I chose to design an record cover for the newly released EP "Cheshire" by the KPop Girlgroup Itzy at that time.

The concept of the EP is inspired by the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. The title track encourages one to have more fun in life and not always question what is wrong or right. This concept and message inspired me to create a design that is also more playful and free-spirited.
To stay true to the Cheshire Cat theme, I delved into the aspects associated with the character. This led me to focus on the elements of fur and a storybook. From this, the idea of a tactile fur texture for the typography emerged, along with the concept of creating a pop-up book effect upon opening the vinyl sleeve.
This project originated as a submission for my Media and Communication Design studies, and it is not an official design commissioned by the group Itzy.
